On the afternoon of June 17, the final evaluation meeting of the first "Top Ten Beautiful Villages in Central China" selection activity in Henan Province was successfully held in Muguang Tea House, Yuanguou Village, Huaishu Township, Mengzhou City, by means of online plus offline。

The meeting was presided over by Wang Aiju, Secretary general of Henan Civil Architecture Society，Professor Shi Yajun, a well-known rural work expert in China, served as the director of the expert review committee，Zhang Zhongmin and Xu Jiqing served as deputy chairmen，The committee members are: Wang Zhaodong, Wang Aiju, Xu Jiqing, Zhang Zhongmin, Li Xiaoke, Zhang Jianwei, Fan Qindong, Wang Feng, Lang Xiuqin and Fan Fei。The review experts conducted a fair, impartial, objective and scientific review of many rural projects that entered the re-evaluation and underwent on-site inspection by experts from the aspects of rural construction style, industrial development, planning implementation and social influence。

The theme of this selection activity is "rural revitalization planning first", the society organized a total of six batches of experts in related fields, nearly 70 people, one by one, and selected 15 shortlisted projects from many recommended projects, which received strong support from all walks of life。      

Professor Shi Yajun, member of the Party's 20 propaganda group of Beijing Agricultural University, professor of Economics and Management College of Beijing Agricultural University, and expert of Beijing Beautiful Countryside Federation, participated in the online review and evaluated the participating villages one by one。He proposed to promote rural revitalization from the aspects of history and culture, folk farming, ecological tourism and landscape industry.For different types of beautiful villages in the future, valuable suggestions were put forward, including improving village appearance, strengthening external publicity, digging deep into red culture, making full use of ecological resources, and systematically improving the results of rural indicators。

The evaluation committee passed strict review, comprehensive review, discussion and research, and finally selected the veritable "Top Ten Beautiful Villages in Central China".。The winning projects will be announced on Henan Daily, Henan Daily Rural Edition, Henan Civil and Architectural Society website and wechat public account。

Finally, Wang Zhaodong, chairman of Henan Civil Architecture Society, made a concluding speech:

1. Fully affirmed the great significance of the selection of the "Top Ten Beautiful Villages in Central China" for promoting the construction of livable and viable villages, and exploring the theory and practice of village construction;

Second, the experts cooperated with the 10 shortlisted units to further organize the system according to the site investigation, and provide information for the next step of communication and publicity。

Third, through the review of the project, summary, improvement, experts to draw up accurate, professional, temperature, color award speech。

This selection will have a positive and far-reaching impact on the construction and development of villages in Henan Province。The selection results will be announced and awarded at the "2023 Central Plains Rural Revitalization Planning and Design Summit Forum"。
