From September 18 to 20, sponsored by the Environmental Geotechnical Engineering Branch of the Chinese Society of Rock Mechanics and Engineering and hosted by Henan University and Henan Civil Architecture Society, the "Third Academic Forum on Environmental Geotechnical Mechanics and Engineering Youth" was held in Zhongzhou International Hotel in Kaifeng City。President of Henan College of Urban Construction,Chairman of Henan Civil Architecture SocietyWang Zhaodong,Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Chongqing University, Vice President, Chairman of the Environmental Geotechnical Engineering Branch of the Chinese Society of Rock Mechanics and EngineeringLiu Hanlong,Xu Shaokang, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of Henan University, Liu Kai, Deputy Secretary-General of Kaifeng Municipal Government, and leaders of the Institute of Science and Technology and the School of Civil Engineering and Architecture attended the opening ceremony。Professor Yue Jianwei, Dean of the School of Civil Engineering and Architecture of Henan University, presided over the opening ceremony。

Xu Shaokang, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and vice President of Henan University, delivered a welcoming speech at the opening ceremony。He welcomed the presence of experts and scholars and thanked them for their long-term support, help and guidance to Henan University。He introduced the development history of Henan University to the experts at the meeting, especially the achievements made after being selected as a "double first-class discipline" construction university。He pointed out that this meeting brought together famous scholars in the field of environmental geotechnical engineering research, built a good communication platform for experts and scholars to exchange, strengthened the cooperation and exchange of relevant units, and promoted the development of environmental geotechnical engineering in China. Finally, I wish this meeting a complete success。  Mr. Liu Hanlong, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Chongqing University, Vice President of Chongqing University and chairman of the Environmental Geotechnical Engineering Branch of China Society of Rock Mechanics and Engineering, delivered a speech。He briefly reviewed the history of environmental geotechnical engineering research in China, said that with the country's attention to environmental protection, environmental geotechnical research will receive more and more attention, and made a report on "Chang 'e-4 biological science popularization test load and environmental geotechnical engineering problems" after the opening ceremony。

Wang Zhaodong, president of Henan Urban Construction Institute and chairman of Henan Civil Architecture Society, attended the opening ceremony and congratulated the academic forum on behalf of the local society。

Focusing on the theme of "Ecological restoration in the Yellow River Basin", the forum conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on the solidification and isolation of contaminated soil, landfill treatment, research on the properties of special soil, and microbial rock and soil reinforcement technology。The meeting invited a group of young experts and scholars with active innovative thinking and outstanding achievements in the field of environmental geotechnical engineering, and fully demonstrated the latest achievements in the field of environmental geotechnical research in China。Professor Ding Xuanming, Chongqing University，Associate Professor Zhang Yi, Tsinghua University，Professor Chen Yumin, Professor Kong Gangqiang, Hohai University，Professor Pei Huafu, Dalian University of Technology，Prof. Ni Pengpeng, Sun Yat-sen University，Professor Liu Lei, Wuhan Institute of Rock and Soil Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences，Professor Zhang Jianwei from the School of Civil Engineering and Architecture of Henan University and other 31 experts and scholars conducted in-depth exchanges on the theme of the conference。

Nearly 100 people attended the meeting, and an online video broadcast platform was opened at the same time, and nearly 2,000 national experts and scholars watched the grand event online。

This academic forum is an academic event in the field of environmental geotechnical engineering hosted by the Association, which plays an important role in broadening academic horizons, enhancing mutual understanding, cooperation and common development。
